Our pranayama short course with Craig Smith is coming up on June 21st & 22nd and we have extended our early bird prices until June 14th 2014. We also now have a single day option for enrolment for those who cannot make the whole weekend.
The Pranayama short course will be focusing on the yogic techniques, which bring us nearer to our true essence. We will be referring to the wonderful Yoga Sutras and studying the wisdom of Patanjali and his take on yoga psychology and how we can use this in modern day life to guide our practice; Yoga philosophy according to the Vedas and the Pancha Maya model of working with the human constitution to help identify the particular pranic areas and the techniques needed to balance those areas; Pranayama techniques to bring us from the busy to the quiet mind; Asana practice to enhance the techniques of pranayama.
The combination of all of these practices and philosophy study will bring about a greater understanding and depth of knowledge to our own search for peace as well as enabling us to pass it on to our students.
What you will learn
- yoga psychology
- sutra study
- linking everything together to emphasise the immense physical and psychological benefits
- the aim of pranayama to reach the subtle essence of who we are through the combination of everything we will practice
